Award Recipients
The Award Objectives Are:
-
To advance and improve the knowledge of
drainage through exchange of ideas, information or new technology
construction, maintenance or improvement of drainage works
-
To unite Drainage Superintendents or
Commissioners for the promotion of better maintenance, repair and
improvement of drainage works
-
To liaise with Provincial Ministries,
Legislative Authorities and other organizations having a stake in drainage works. The award
is presented to the selected Drainage Superintendent at the
Annual DSAO Convention and consists of a commemorative plaque and $250.
Eligibility:
To be eligible to be nominated for this award, an individual must meet the
following criteria:

Must be (or have been within the past year)
an active drainage superintendent appointed by a municipality and approved
by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA).

must be a member of good
standing in the DSAO
-
may not be nominated for duties
performed on behalf of the provincial executive
Nominations:
-
Nominations must be submitted on the
supplied nomination forms, and must be properly signed and seconded by
active DSAO members
-
no member of the current DSAO
Executive may nominate or second the nomination of an individual
-
All nominations must be received
by the Executive Secretary of the Association before December 19 of each
year
Selection Process:
- Three individuals will be appointed by the
DSAO Executive to a Selection Committee. At least two members of the
Selection Committee shall be members of the DSAO Executive or the OMAFRA Executive
Representative.
- The Selection Committee will appoint a Chair
from among its members
- After the close of nominations, the
Executive Secretary shall forward copies of all nominations to the Selection
Committee
- The Selection Committee shall select an
award recipient from the nomination.
The McNeely-Taillon-Stantec
Award is donated annually by the Stanley Engineering Group Limited.
The Drainage Superintendents Association of Ontario gratefully acknowledges
this contribution.
